Grocery prices are undoubtedly high, and while inflation prices continue to fall, some customers still aren’t seeing that decrease reflected in their weekly grocery spending, and they might not for quite some time.
Several downtown businesses participated in the first ever "Last Minute Falala", a shopping extravaganza put on by the local organization Bristol Core for those that still had holiday shopping to do.
“When you support that small business, their money stays here. They are supporting other small businesses; their taxes support the community; their kids go to school here,” McRae said. “When you support a small business, you are sending a child to dance class, providing sports for a child and providing for a family in your community.”
