he s now hiding. i m griff jenkins. jacqui: i m jacqui heinrich. charles, from north port, florida, let s start with you. hello. hi, jacqui. this is a double missing person s case and now brian laundrie is now missing and hasn t been seen by his family in days. north port police department just posted to twitter a short time ago that multiple officers and the fbi are currently conducting a search of the vast carlton preserve for brian laundrie. and his family says they believe he entered the area earlier this week. on friday, north port police showed up to the laundrie residence and they spoke to the family at their own request for the first time since gabby petito was reported missing by her family. and by that encounter, the family told they had not seen or spoken to brian since tuesday, but didn t say whether or not the family knew anything about the disappearance of gabby petito. it s not that you re not helping anymore, it s hindering investigations. you re using up
cooperating with the investigation, despite desperate pleas from gabby s family. we have fox team coverage from lauren green who has the latest on the search for petito. first, let s go to charles watson who is live in north port, florida. charles? hi, jon. this is really turned into a two-part investigation. on the one hand, you have got authorities searching for gabby petito out west, and now you have several agencies searching for her boyfriend brian laundrie who investigators fear could be in danger. the police department tells us about 50 officers including fbi agents are on the ground conducting this search. they spent most of the day looking for brian in a 25,000 acre wooded area, known as the vast carlton reserve. authorities say it s a place his family says he goes to often. now, jon, the news about brian s disappearance wasn t really known to anybody outside of the family until friday evening. officers showed up to the laundrie residence and spoke to the family at
that attack and 20 others wounded. all that made it such a difficult day here all the way into friday. that s when we began to learn, not only the names and ages, but the lives and the stories of these service members. that made it all that much harder. this is all part of that process in dover, delaware, at dover air force base, watching this final journey home, just part of it with the dignified transfers here. it s never easy to see this. certainly, it s even harder to see that many of them, one after another. i suspect even with the secretary of defense there, there are many service members, officials, enlisted officers watching this happen around the country realizing what it means to have lost a brother, sister, colleague, service member, somebody who was part of the family here in the pentagon. they re so young. some of them were just babies 20 years ago when 9/11 occurred. now they re being brought back to the united states in these transfer cases. it must be so dif
