Offshore seismic data acquisition firm Shearwater GeoServices has secured a contract from Brazil s Petrobras for a deepwater ocean bottom node (OBN) seismic survey for the Tupi and Iracema projects in the country s prolific pre-salt Santos basin, it said on February 17. This will be the largest OBN seismic survey in Brazil, at the Tupi field, considered Brazil’s first super-giant oilfield and is a base survey for potential future 4-D surveys, Shearwater said in a statement.
The survey will begin in the third quarter and run for around nine months. It will cover 2,882-km
