2 killed in Jigawa motorcycle accident

He said the incident involved one Bashiru Haruna, 25, of Daushe village, who rode on an unregistered motorcycle, while at the same time conveying another passenger.
“On reaching a sharp corner at Beguwa village, he had a head-to-head collision with an incoming unregistered motorcycle driven by Musa Isiya of Daushe Village also conveying a passenger, as a result, both cyclists and their passengers sustained serious injuries.”
He said the victims were rushed to General Hospital Ringim where both the riders and one of the passengers by name Shaf’u Inuwa of the same address were confirmed dead by a medical doctor, while the remaining passenger by name Muddafa Adamu of Daushe village was still receiving treatment at the hospital. ....

Robbers kill Army major, injure private in Jigawa

He said the incident occurred at Dumdubus village in Dutse Local Government Area of the state around 9pm on Sunday.
According to Lawan, the two officers were travelling from Maiduguri, Borno State to Kaduna, adding that efforts were on to arrest the fleeing suspects.
“Information was received at about 2100hrs on July 4 that the road from Maiduguri to Kano expressway was blocked by armed robbers at Dumdubus village, Fanisau Division Dutse LGA.
“Police patrol team moved to the scene about 40 meters after Dumdubus village. Before the arrival of the police patrol team the robbers had escaped into the bush.
“One PTE Harisu Aliyu was wounded on his neck and shoulder while Major M. S. Isma’il was shot and dead. (sic). ....
