The director of Rhode Island’s Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals, or BHDDH, has resigned.
NBC 10 News on Monday learned that Kathryn Power submitted letter of resignation to Gov. Dan McKee.
“Due to a family member’s recently diagnosed health issues, I am submitting my resignation effective April 9, 2021,” Powers noted, in part, in the letter, which is dated March 28.
“It has been an honor to serve you and the state of Rhode Island and I wish you the very best in all your future endeavors,” she stated in closing. ....
