Nottinghamshire Police urge motorcyclists to prevent a serious accident this Easter by making full checks

Nottinghamshire Police is urging motorcyclists to ensure their bike has been fully checked over before heading out on the roads after dozen serious accidents were caused by mechanical failures.
Over the last ten years, there were 34 serious accidents where vehicle defects were identified.
The most common faults that caused the bikes to crash are categorised below in order of rank:

Defective wheel sprocket
As a result, the Nottinghamshire forceâs roads policing department is launching its Two-wheel campaign on April 5. It aims to encourage riders to check that all the mechanics of their bikes are in full working order before going anywhere.
