Tonight s NXT New Year’s Evil will go head-to-head with the New Year’s Smash Night 1 edition of AEW Dynamite on TNT.
TV Guide is advertising the New Year’s Evil episode running from 8 pm until 10:08pm, giving the show an extra 8 minutes. Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that he’s heard the show could get an extra 10 mins of air time.
The show will also feature two matches that are airing with no commercials, opener Damian Priest vs. Karrion Kross, and the main event featuring Kyle O’Reilly taking on NXT Champion Finn Balor.

This Monday s edition of WWE RAW got an increase in viewers as a result of holding a Legend s Night and advertising many big name appearances.
According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, this episode averaged 2.128 million viewers. This is up from the 1.769 million viewers last week
WWE hasn’t drawn over 2 million viewers for Raw since last August.
(8 pm): 2.197 million – last week: 1.886
(9 pm): 2.150 million – last week: 1.783

NXT General Manager has announced that Timothy Thatcher has sustained a minor injury and as such he will not be able to wrestle tonight on medical grounds.
Thatcher was due to go up against Tommaso Ciampa in the NXT Fight Pit but the match will now take place at a later date.
WWE has pulled all advertising for the match.
