My son is 21. I felt in the early years that they were all the steps i could take because their people before me had taken him so i was always on the five year plan. Now that he is 21, im okay, now what am i going to do for the rest of his life. You do not know how much more they will continue to grow, how they will change. Adolescence for kids with autism is much later, 12 years old, you have like five or six years before you hit adolescence. That changes everything. So
