Share MONROVIA – Senator Varney Sherman has told journalists that the recent sanction placed on him by the U.S. government has devastated his character as a lawyer and it’s going to take him years to redeem his character. Senator Sherman, in interview with reporters said, as a result of the sanction, he has lost most of his clients most of whom he has worked for since the establishment of his Sherman & Sherman Law Firm in the late ’80s. “My reputation is devastated and it’s going to take me years to repair after I have provided evidence to remove my name from sanction. I believe that someone for some reason dropped my name at OFAC because of some reason and without OFAC reviewing, they placed my name on sanction list,” he lamented.

etichy@post-journal.com A former priest previously accused of sexual assault has again been identified in a Child Victims Act lawsuit. The suit was filed last week in New York State Supreme Court in Chautauqua County. It alleges abuse by the Rev. John D. Lewandowski, who had previously been accused of abuse according to a list released by the Diocese of Buffalo. The plantiff is identified in the suit as “M.L.” The male victim was about 14 years old in 1960 when the alleged sexual assault took place during after-school activities at the Boys and Girls Club in Jamestown. Lewandowski reportedly provided services as a priest for the club.
