A TEENAGER has admitted throwing a firework which exploded in front of a police officer. The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons. lobbed the firework while being chased by police in Springburn on November 2 2019. The firework landed at the feet of the constable who fortunately managed to jump over it. The first offender pleaded guilty on Tuesday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to culpably and recklessly throwing a firework into a bonfire and police assault. The court heard the teen ran from police who believed he was going to set off fireworks. He was later spotted in Balgrayhill Road with a purple pole over his right shoulder.
