Ronald Lee Routh, who resigned last week as director of the Pulaski County Juvenile Detention Center, pleaded innocent this week in Pulaski County District Court to one felony count of second-degree sexual assault and three misdemeanor counts of harassment.
Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Routh, who resigned this week as director of the Pulaski County Juvenile Detention Center, will surrender Monday to face sexual assault and misdemeanor harassment charges involving children at the facility, his lawyer, Bill Watt, said Friday.
An inmate at the Pulaski County jail gave birth in her cell a little over a week ago, a sheriff s office spokesman said, surprising jail staff who didn t know she was pregnant. Another inmate, who reported the birth to news media, said she thinks the episode is an example of poor medical policies at the jail.
