The city of Avondale Estates and the Avondale Estates Downtown Development Authority received the 2022 Regional Excellence Award in the great places category for the Town Green. The award was given to the city by the Atlanta Regional Commission on Friday, Oct. 28.
The Avondale Estates town green is coming along. The city broke ground on the project in June and so far sod and tree installations have started, and the Franklin Street connector has been paved.
