A fast-moving Arctic cold front passed over eastern Iowa Thursday. The National Weather Services  Quad Cities office issued a winter storm warning alerting residents of strong winds, falling temperatures, at-times heavy snowfall and temperatures between 5 and 15 degrees below zero. Snow-wetted roads, they warned, would quickly freeze as the front moved in and isn t expected to let up until Friday morning. ....
