A case of sibling rivalry was settled at Flamboro Downs over the weekend as a pair of Alberta-bred pacing mares got the chance to compete against each other in a race for the first time in a combined 149 career starts.
James MacDonald posted five wins on the Thursday (Feb. 8) evening card at Woodbine Mohawk Park, including a sweep of the Blizzard Pacing Series, each worth an $18,000 purse.
The Sunday, Dec. 10 card at Flamboro Downs had Dontpokethedragon breathing fire to take the $11,000 Preferred Pace, which highlighted the 10-race card.
