Shawn R. Pitcher On Monday, March 29, 2021, our father Shawn Pitcher passed away unexpectedly. Shawn Robert Pitcher was born on April 18, 1970 in Greenwich, Connecticut to Martha and Steve Pitcher. Shawn grew up on the East Side of Boothbay Harbor, where he and his best friend, Lawrence Durf Durfee, and the other East Side kids ran wild and free. While in high school, Pitcher, as everyone called him, did a work study program in carpentry and worked for L.W. Smith. He loved to build and create. He worked as a carpenter until his passing. One summer night in 1986, Shawn met a girl who would later become his wife, Betsy. They were married for 29 years, and had three amazing children together: Nathaniel Pitcher, Ciara Wildes, and Kai Pitcher.
