person was grazed by bullets. both went to the hospital with what we re told is non-life- threatening injuries. but when police arrived at the scene, several officers surrounded the hotel. they tried to set up a perimeter to make sure no one directly involved fled the scene, and a police sergeant says their radio system then stopped working properly. when we first arrived, our radios weren t working as well in that area, i m not sure if it was connectivity issues but we couldn t stick to dispatch of used our can radios. but in order to do that, use the car radios instead, the sergeant says some of the officers had to leave their posts surrounding the building. there have been reported problems with opd police radio systems since earlier this year. but a month ago the it department had resolved the issues but as we just heard, it appears there s another problem. but at this point police say the problem is they have no suspects in custody, no witnesses who want to give them
