Athol: No vaccine doses available for Monday vax clinic SUHOSKI Contributed photo Modified: 3/10/2021 3:59:45 PM ATHOL/REGION Despite the best efforts of local officials, state legislators and Heywood Healthcare there are no vaccine doses available for the planned vaccination clinic on Monday, March 15, according to Athol Town Manager Shaun A. Suhoski, who noted that those with previously scheduled second doses will be covered starting March 22. “Originally, the Town planned to deploy 200 doses for pre-registered regional school district employees at a special Saturday clinic and then our assumed allotment of 200 new doses for a Monday clinic,” Suhoski said in a press release. “However, we were advised today (Wednesday) that Athol will receive only 100 doses total which will be used for a portion of the pre-registered school personnel,” said Suhoski. “While Town staff, officials and volunteers all share the extreme frustration of the limited vaccine su ....

Unions representing Athol’s firefighters, police officers and dispatchers filed formal opposition with the Board of Selectmen, which two of the letters contend did not properly gather input from the unions.
