Place North West | Engie wins £8.4m Rochdale decarbonisation work

The energy and regeneration specialist is to retrofit 20 buildings across the borough as part of the Goverment’s drive to cut emissions across public sector estates.
In March, a conditional £78.3m was awarded to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority by Kwasi Kwarteng, Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, to administer the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme across the ten boroughs.
GMCA and its partners will be expected to undertake retrofit works to improve the carbon efficiency of public assets.
Rochdale Council submitted an application on 23 November 2020 for the decarbonisation of 10 corporate buildings, including leisure centres, and 10 schools, amounting to around £11m. ....

Young Yorkshire content creators sought for project backed by Channel 4

The Sharp Project’s social enterprise, SharpFutures is inviting young Yorkshire content creators to a new creative talent development programme delivered with the support of Channel 4 and their Leeds based digital content production team 4Studio.
The aim of ‘Content Creatives’, is to inspire and encourage a new generation of digital content makers in Yorkshire by offering six paid placements to develop their skills, experience and editorial voice.
SharpFutures are working with Job Centre Plus and DWP work coaches in the region to reach as diverse an audience as possible and are specifically looking for people that may not have considered applying for such a course before. ....
