A young Arizona girl named Emily, who had suffered heart problems since birth, was hospitalized and suddenly turned to her mother. “Mom, I’m getting a heart,” said the 7-year-old, who was on a heart transplant wait list. “It was at the same time we took my daughter off the machines,” recalls Mills, who lives in Poway. “This little girl in Arizona told me later she sensed a spiritual presence in her room.
