The Maldon in Bloom team donated the bench which was installed on Thursday, July 29. The new bench can be found on the Longfield s pathway towards Park Road from Olympic Avenue, in Maldon. Funds received in 2020 from a generous anonymous donation were used for the friendship bench. This new addition for the community is hoped to be used and loved by many. Maldon Town Council s chairman councillor, Flo Shaughnessy said: Our thanks go to the kind donor and to Debbie Horrey at Maldon District Council for her co-ordination. Now locals can pause for a breather on a brand new bench and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. ....
