WATERFORD The Wolf Creek Local Board of Education was apprised of results from a recent teacher survey during Monday evening’s meeting.
Sara Beardsley and Sharon Baumgard, co-presidents of the Wolf Creek Local Education Association, said 45 of the 53 members of the organization responded to the survey, which asked questions about COVID-19 and virtual learning.
The survey showed:
¯ 65.9 percent were either quite or somewhat concerned about students’ social-emotional well-being right now;
¯ 31.1 percent felt a moderately negative effect due to the current learning model.
Teacher comments regarding students’ well-being included students are anxious, need more information about routines and need security in knowing what is next.
