NEWMARKET is warming up for OsKars Night in two weeks time and to get into the feel of the staging a variety concert takes place in Cultúrlann, Newmarket on this Sunday night at 8pm. Cast members of Forrest Gump from the Newmarket GAA Oskars are promoting the concert featuring an all star line up of Meadhbh Walsh, Elle Marie O’ Dwyer, Alan Finn, Ríona Sheahan, Newmarket Girls National School, Cullen Ballad Group along with the O’Riordan family from Freemount Comhaltas Meelin native Meadhbh Walsh has returned from her second tour of the US and a wonderful sell-out solo gig in the INEC, Killarney. A regular performer with the Whistling Donkeys, Meadhbh came to fame during Covid through Facebook and won the hearts of online audiences all over the world. Having completed her degree in UCC, Meadhbh is concentrating on her music career.
