‘Prepare reports on institutions not having labour councils’
​​​​​​​MINISTER of State in the Prime Minister s Office (Labor, Policy, Employment, Youth and the Disabled) Jenista Mhagama has instructed the registrar of Trade Unions and employers to prepare reports for public institutions and organisations that are yet to form labour councils.

Minister Mhagama issued the directive yesterday in the capital city when opening a session of the national executive council of the Local Government Workers Union (TALGWU).
She stated that most of the public institutions in the country have not yet formed labor unions, a situation which deprives workers of their basic statutory rights. ....
