College Girl’s Death: DMCH team completes primary post-mortem

Doctors at Dhaka Medical College s forensic medicine department have completed the primary post-mortem on the body of female college student, which was recovered from her Gulshan flat on April 26.
Dr Mohammad Maksud, head of the department, however, declined to disclose any findings, saying that the information was confidential.
Contacted, Sudip Chakrabarty, deputy commissioner (Gulshan division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, yesterday said Gulshan police had not received the report yet. The primary post-mortem report will cover the physical analysis of the human remains. There will be no details. We will have to wait for the final post-mortem report . he told The Daily Star.

The brother of the college student found dead in a Gulshan flat filed a murder case against Nazmul Karim Chowdhury Sharun, son of Awami League lawmaker and parliament whip Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, with a Dhaka court yesterday.
This development comes less than a week after the victim s sister sued Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir over abetting the college student s suicide.
The college student was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a rented Gulshan flat on April 26, and her sister lodged the case with Gulshan Police Station the following day.

Brother of the victim filed the case with the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan today.
After recording the statement of the complainant, Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan in his order said, all the proceedings of the murder case would be stayed until probe report over abetting suicide of the young woman is finalised, Bench Assistant Masud Parvez told The Daily Star.
College girl’s suicide at Gulshan Munia’s family wants justice The New Nation

Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group, has filed a petition with the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in a case filed over the suicide of a college girl in the capital.
Lawyers filed the bail plea yesterday on behalf of Anvir, 42, who was sued over abetting Munia’s death by suicide.
The bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman is scheduled to hear the petition today.
Earlier on Tuesday, a Dhaka court imposed a travel ban on Anvir barring him from leaving the country after filing the case.
