and last updated 2020-12-14 18:23:50-05 SHALERSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Three people were killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Portage County Sunday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Around 3:33 p.m., troopers were called to the 8100 block of Peck Road in Shalersville Township for a report of a serious crash. Once on scene, troopers found a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado off the east side of the road with severe damage after it struck a tree, troopers said. There were eight occupants in the Silverado at the time of the crash, according to troopers. Marlana Mullin, 22, Christine Shead, 12, and Evey Montecalvo, 12, died as a result of the crash while the other five were transported to nearby hospitals from the scene with serious injuries, troopers said.

Ravenna troopers responded to the scene where they saw a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado off to the East side of Peck Road. They responded to the scene around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. Authorities said eight people were inside the vehicle. The vehicle had reportedly hit a tree and was severely damaged.
