Odds-on favourite Moosette plowed past her competition with a last-to-first swoop to take the $10,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace at Fraser Downs on Thursday night (March 30).
A disqualification in the $10,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Handicap on Thursday night (March 16) at Fraser Downs put Moosette in the winner’s circle and continued a strong night for driver Brandon Campbell, who won five races in a row, and trainer Jim Marino, who won three.
After settling for the show dough in back-to-back assignments in the top class for distaffers at Fraser Downs, Moosette powered her way to a win in Thursday’s $10,000 Fillies & Mares Open at the British Columbia oval.
It was a spine-tingling finish in the Monday evening feature at Fraser Downs as Century Mach and Moosette battled all the way down the lane before sharing the victory in what was a terrific, dead-heat performance in the $10,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace.
Trainer Jim Marino bagged four of the nine races at Fraser Downs on Thursday night (Oct. 13) including a win in the $10,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace with Moosette.
