Well, my favourite one at the moment is, i am in blood, stepped in so far that should i wade no more, returning were as tedious as go o er which has, i think, probably always been my favourite shakespeare quote and i definitely overuse but now, i get to say it on stage every night. probably most people aren t using that one but they are using a lot, you re right, of shakespearean phrases without remembering. yes, yeah, all the time. ..without knowing that they re shakespeare. so, i suppose, what would you say to people who say, it s elitist, you know? i m not interested ? i don t think i don t think it s elitist. i don t think it ever was elitist. imean. shakespeare was a popular author in his day. i mean, now there are listen, there are problems about access to theatre because it s expensive to put on and the arts council isn t funded like it once was, so theatre prices are more expensive than maybe they should be. that s a different debate. that s not the elitism there i ....
