BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The city of Bowling Green has recently turned over around 800 items to Western Kentucky University's Special Collections Library to preserve the history of the historic Shake Rag district.
Preserving and learning from history is important, and the walking tour through the Shake Rag neighborhood of Bowling Green on Feb. 17 was an event that fits that narrative.
Several dozen people braved cold temperatures Saturday to take a step back in time and a leap forward, embarking on a walking tour of the historic Shake Rag neighborhood.
