A sedition case was filed yesterday against BNP leader Mizanur Rahman Minu, also an adviser to Chairperson Khaleda Zia, and three other party leaders over making a hint that another 1975 could occur.
Mosabbir Islam, law affairs secretary of Rajshahi city Awami League, filed the case with the court of Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam.
The three other accused in the case are BNP Organising Secretary Ruhul Kuddus Talukhder Dulu, Rajshahi city BNP President Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, and General Secretary Shafiqul Haque Milon.

Rajshahi city Awami League today sought government approval for filing a sedition case against Mizanur Rahman Minu, adviser to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, over his remarks on repeating 1975 assassination .
Musabbirul Islam, law affairs secretary of city AL, applied to the District Magistrate under Section 196 (Ka) of the Criminal Procedure of Bangladesh, reports our staff correspondent in Rajshahi.
In his application, he also sought government permission for accusing the central BNP organising secretary Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, Rajshahi city BNP president Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, and secretary Shafiqul Haque Milon in the same sedition case.
