Free lunches extended into the 2021-2022 school year

SEVIERVILLE â Families with children in Sevier County Schools will not have to worry about paying for school meals this upcoming school year.
âThey have extended the free lunches again for next year,â said Tony Ogle, interim Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture extended the program through the 2021-22 school year.
That means every student who attends public school will receive a free lunch, not just students who qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch program.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture made the announcement back in April, extending the universal free lunches, which were set to expire on Sept. 30. ....
