Landslide in Davao Oro force residents to evacuate

RESIDENTS in a village in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro were forcibly evacuated on Friday afternoon, December 18, 2020, after a landslide caused by moderate to heavy rains due to Tropical Depression (TD) Vicky.
In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the landslide occured near a residence in Purok 3, Barangay San Roque.
The nearby residents were immediately evacuated and the area will be assessed by the area s Municipal Engineering Office.
The provincial government, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), immediately conducted the profiling of the evacuees, which is still ongoing as of writing. ....

Landslide forces residents to be evacuated in Davao de Oro due to TD Vicky

DAVAO CITY – Moderate to heavy rains due to Tropical Depression (TD) Vicky caused a landslide in a village in Nabunturan town, Davao de Oro province, forcing residents to evacuate Friday.

In a statement on Friday, the local government of Nabunturan said a landslide occurred near a residence in Purok 3, Barangay San Roque.
“Kasamtangan nang gi-evacuate ang mga lumulupyo sa maong balay ug ipa assess na sa mga personahe sa atong Municipal Engineering Office ang lugar (The residents are currently being evacuated and the area will be assessed by the Municipal Engineering Office),” it said. ....
