MUMBAI: Four people, including the secretary of a housing society in Andheri’s Seven Bungalow locality, were arrested for allegedly killing a stray dog and dumping it in Versova mangroves two weeks ago. The secretary reportedly paid Rs5,000 to the three auto-rickshaws whom the latter hired to clear the stray menace from the locality. Versova police arrested the four late on Sunday after their roles were established. The police arrested the rickshaw auto driver of the vehicle having registration (MH-02-FB-7531) that was used in the crime on February 12. The arrest of one of the rickshaw drivers on Sunday led to the two others and finally the secretary was arrested. “The trio’s arrest led us to the building secretary who paid the money to clear the stray menace. Maharashtra government signs MoUs to promote local cuisine, agro-tourism and Mumbai Festival Photo Credit: PTI In a bid to make Maharashtra an important tourist destination post COVID-19, the state Directorate of Tourism, on Tuesday, signed MoUs to promote the stateâs local cuisine to the fore. It will also include agro tourism and watching the live shooting of films and mingling with the actors on the sets. Two more MoUs were inked for QR code boards at tourist destinations and the promotion of the Mumbai Festival. Tourists coming to Mumbai will now have the opportunity to go to the actual shooting location of movies and television series to watch live shooting and interact with the actors.
