Situation. When the two officers arrived and went inside that upstairs apartment a neighbor tells me its torres attacked the officers when they went to help his elderly mother. He sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Reporter theyre saying torres was schizophrenic. He was getting overwhelmed taking care of her as he got older. I heard three shots. When they move to the window, i saw him bleeding a lot like this. Reporter a neighbor said it sounded like he was fighting the officers with an object. It appears to be some type of laceration. Reporter detectives marked the trail of blood that police say come from the officer. I still dont know why the police kill him. I dont understand. Hes only mental problems. I want to cry. Im sorry.
