COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State heads to Bloomington this weekend to face the top two teams in the conference in host Indiana and Nebraska. The Buckeyes have played both teams already this season. Ohio State and Nebraska split a pair of games in Minneapolis in March and Ohio State swept Indiana in a four-game series in Columbus at the beginning of April.
Nebraska holds a one-game lead over Indiana for the top spot in the conference. The Buckeyes are in sixth place, 5.5 games back.

Purdue had a great weekend two weeks ago in Champaign, sweeping all four games against Michigan State and Illinois. But last weekend at home, the Boilermakers were swept by the Illini in a three-game series.

Purdue is hitting just .242 as a team but has the third-fewest strikeouts in the league.
Miles Simington leads the team in hitting at .340 and is tops in the conference with 12 doubles.
On the mound, the Boilermakers have allowed the third-most runs in the league and have the second-most walks of any Big Ten team.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – After spending the last two weekends on the road, Ohio State returns home to Bill Davis Stadium this weekend to begin a key stretch of games that opens against Penn State on Friday night. The Buckeyes will play nine of the next 12 games at home. Ohio State and Penn State are both riding modest losing streaks as the Buckeyes have dropped the last five games and the Nittany Lions have lost the last four.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – We’re halfway through the 2021 Big Ten baseball season and Ohio State is near the top of the standings as it makes the turn. The second half starts with a trip to Maryland this weekend for a three-game set with the Terrapins. Friday night’s opener will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. game on Saturday and a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. The two teams met twice earlier this season in Columbus during Ohio State’s home opening weekend and they split those games.
