KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The crisis of relocating the used tyre dumpsite to Arhiya area has re-emerged, a year after the Environment Public Authority (EPA) received the site and promised to transfer the used tyres to an alternative place on Salmi Road. This is yet another evidence of the government’s failure to prepare for projects and its commitment to implement them on time, and its failure to prepare studies in advance to avoid obstacles during implementation, reports Aljarida daily.
After a long time since taking over the site, EPA informed the Parliament’s Housing Affairs Committee that the transfer process will cost between two and four million dinars, but approving this high budget will take a long time. ....
