7月19日，广州各区暑期托管试点学校陆续开始提供服务。当天，羊城晚报全媒体记者走访多家试点学校了解到，学校针对1-5年级小学生提供基础托管和素质拓展课程，素质课程基本由第三方机构老师主导、校内老师辅助。同时，学校参与引入课程设计，并对课程质量把关。不少学生和家长表示，选择校内暑期托管服务是奔着试点学校开设的体育类、体验型等个性化课程去的。
