Land fill each day. shannon: how in the world did you limit yourself do that? you and your husband, two people at least that i know of in 12 months? our guiding principle is really that we looked at what we were buying, the packaging before we brought it home and if it wasn t recyclable we didn t buy it. we did without or found an alternative. shannon: how tough or easy was this for you? well, at first it took some work getting the system in place and researching the recycling option and products we could buy and couldn t buy. once we had a system in place and knew what we could and couldn t recycle we flew through it without much problem. what is your best advice for those of us who want to do better? like i just said where you don t buy things that are not recyclable in the first place. completely avoid single serve packaging in its entirety and buy in bulk whenever possible. shannon: amy, you are an inspiration to the rest of us. ....
