United Cigars Announces Irish Car Bomb Firecrackers
There will soon be a new Firecracker on its way to store shelves, as United Cigars has announced the upcoming release of the Irish Car Bomb Firecracker, which will have it on store shelves ahead of St. Patrick’s Day.
The cigar is a 3 x 50 petit robusto that uses a barber pole wrapper design made from Dominican candela and Mexican San Andrés leaves, with the candela providing the tobacco used for the line’s signature wick. Underneath that is a Nicaraguan criollo binder, while the filler uses Dominican ligero along with Nicaragua and Pennsylvania broadleaf tobaccos. The cigars are produced at the Magia Cubana factory in Gurabo, Dominican Republic, with production limited to under 15,000 cigars, according to a press release.
The Wise Man Maduro Firecracker Slated for June
United Cigar Group has announced that The Wise Man Maduro Firecracker from Foundation Cigar Co. will be the newest addition to its annual summertime limited edition series.
Like other cigars in the line, it is being released in a compact vitola, this one measuring just 3 1/2 inches long with a 50 ring gauge. It features a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, a Nicaraguan corojo binder grown in the Jalapa region, and Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa and Estelí. The cigar is made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. in Nicaragua.
“This was a fun project to be a part of,” said Nicholas Melillo of Foundation Cigar Co. via a press release. “Fitting the depth of The Wise Man Maduro into a 3 1/2″ vitola was a challenge but what a flavor bomb it is.”
