Discriminated against because of the way that they look, and i think that it s hard to make the argument that at any point mike mcdaniel was discriminated because of the way he looks. i find it hard to use this as a tally mark to show whatever improvements they have had. i m also not interested in telling mike mcdaniel he s not black enough or whatever. but i do understand that it feels like in this country, our experience is largely defined by the complex of our skin and our gender and frankly just our appearance, and i can t imagine that mike mcdaniel and i or mike mcdaniel and any other darker skinned black person have had a similar experience, so it s really hard for me to give the nfl any kudos on that particular ire, but i m certainly not saying he doesn t deserve the job or whatever, and the draft pick compensation that the 49ers received for kind of building him up to the point where he could get hired. they can keep it. i m not out here trying to penalize anybody. ....

We all fawn over every time we see it. let s get to what we ve lost here. this is the first fashion week we have talked about since the passing of andre leon talley, how do you think their legacies will show up since this is the first week we re seeing in the runway. will there be acknowledgment, if you want to give us a sneak peek of what the sergio hudson fashion show will look like, i ll take it. as for myself, virgil was a personal friend. i take his spirit with me as i go into this fashion week. we ve had a lot of loss just in this new year already, even for me personally, so i m just trying to do the best that i can to make everyone that i love proud and to succeed because i feel like that s the best way to honor these people that believed in you, and for andre, just be excellent and just keep thriving and continue to make his legacy be known, and let people really ....
I want to switch gears and ask. this is sensitive. get ready for twitter to blow up. this mike mcdaniel situation, okay. i know that the nfl is saying, no, no, this counts, however, comma, we have to realize, i ve talked about this on the show before, when you have black faces versus black voices, you know, these are two different things that folks outside the community don t always realize. in this case, i don t know that we have a black face or a black voice. his father is black. what s your thought here? because i m a little confused by that. i mean, i ve been looking forward to this since the first segment since you said we ll get back to that. i knew exactly what you were talking about when you brought up the two coaches. i don t care to get into legislating individual person s blackness. i think from the nfl standpoint, the purpose of this is to help to promote people who are being ....
As politely as representative beatty did to not only being cursed at but essentially threatened in the workplace. i agree. and i had congresswoman stacy plaskett on this show, and i asked her about marjorie taylor greene, and she said she might be stupid but she ain t crazy, and i honestly think sometimes, you know, sometimes a little yeah, don t come for me. i want to switch gears and talk about the oscars, this year, it s oscars a little less white because the academy, they still have a lot of work to do following years record breaking slate of nine acting nominations for people of color, only four black actors got that coveted nod this time. will smith, denzel washington, aunjanue ellis, and ariana debose. they have done a better job on diversity, i think, linn, i ....
