“In my job I see everything, I see all of it," Isabel Gwilliam said. "We all go home to our families every night and see the presents around our own trees, and we can definitely step back and see there are people who will go without this Christmas. To be able to do something as part of the community to make sure the children have a good Christmas is important to us.”
TVEMS is looking for unwrapped gifts for newborn children to 16-year-olds, including toys, art sets, books, board games and cold weather items but asking residents to not leave cash or gift cards. The department has drop boxes at more than 20 locations across Loveland and Berthoud. A full list of donation sites can be found on the TVEMS Facebook page. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 10 and delivered to the Salvation Army Dec. 11.
