Soldier injured in attack from Afghanistan
This is was the second cross-border terror attack in three days
At least one army soldier sustained injuries when terrorists from Afghanistan opened fire from across the international border on a military post in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa s Bajaur district late Friday night, the army s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army troops responded befittingly to the attack.
“Pakistan has consistently been requesting Afghanistan to ensure effective border management and strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for inciting activities against Pakistan,” the ISPR said.
The statement further said that Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against the country.

RAWALPINDI: Four soldiers of Frontier Corps (FC) embraced martyrdom and six others sustained injuries as terrorists ambushed the troops moving for fencing activity in Manzakai Sector of Balochistan’s District Zhob along Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Today during fencing activity in Manzakai Sector, Distt Zhob, Balochistan along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border, terrorists from across Afghanistan ambushed the FC troops moving for fencing,” it said. It said the FC troops responded promptly to the terrorist attack, adding the injured were being evacuated to Combined Military Hospital, Quetta. The ISPR named the martyrs as Havaldar Noor Zaman, Sepoy Shakeel Abbas, Sepoy Ehsan Ullah and Naik Sultan.

RAWALPINDI: Four soldiers of Frontier Corps (FC) were martyred and their six colleagues injured in an attack by some terrorists from across Afghanistan at Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan on Wednesday.
During fencing of the border in Manzakai Sector, Dist Zhob, the terrorists ambushed the troops, the ISPR said.
As a result, four FC soldiers embraced shahadat while six got injured. The troops responded promptly. The injured were shifted to CMH Quetta. The martyred are: Havaldar Noor Zaman, Sepoy Shakeel Abbas, Sepoy Ehsanullah and Naik Sultan.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack and the military provided no further details. In another incident, security forces conducted intelligence based operation in Dosalli, North Waziristan, on reported presence of terrorists and killed two terrorists.

Pakistan on Wednesday called upon neighboring Afghanistan to take action against terrorists after four soldiers were martyred and six others injured in an attack by terrorists near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan province.
“Pakistan strongly condemns such organized attacks and considers these detrimental to ongoing peace and stability along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border,” Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said. “The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Islamabad has been asked to convey Pakistan’s concerns to the relevant Afghan authorities to undertake effective measures against organized groups of terrorists operating from the Afghan soil, follow mutually agreed protocols and SOPs and avoid recurrence of such incidents in future,” he said.

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Four Frontier Constabulary (FC) Soldiers were martyred while six further received injuries in the firing by the terrorists from Afghanistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ISPR said that today during the fencing activity in the Manzakai Sector of Balochistan’s Zhob District along the Pakistan-Afghanistan Border, terrorists from across Afghanistan ambushed the FC Troops moving for the fencing.
Resultantly, four FC Soldiers including Havaldar Noor Zaman, Sepoy Shakeel Abbas, Sepoy Ehsan Ullah, and Naik Sultan embraced shahadat.
In the attack, six FC Soldiers got injured who were evacuated to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta.
