between 65 and 74 will go up by more than 80% over the next six years and 45% of americans approaching retirement now say they plan to never stop working. so to help seniors find work, a couple of groups are launching massive jobs fair in 19 states. jonathan serrie is in atlanta with details. besides age, what else makes it so tough for this particular group to find jobs. well, shep, while unemployment rates for seniors are high, they are actually slightly lower than the national average for folks in all age groups. but, seniors who lose their jobs may take anywhere from 7 to 10 weeks longer to find new ones. and a major reason behind this is the so-called digital divide. you know, many of these people have held jobs for decades and nowadays instead of looking for jobs in the newspaper, you are doing it online and in many cases you are having to apply for jobs on line and so there is this digital divide. many seniors haven t had to
