Melanie Earley16:39, Jul 28 2021 TAO LIN/Stuff An alleged fraudster operating over Facebook Marketplace has been arrested by police in west Auckland. Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Frost said a 33-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a raft of offending across the region. On Tuesday night, the Waitematā West Tactical Crime found the man at an address in west Auckland and took him into custody. Police allege the man’s offending dates back to December 2020 with victims across Auckland. “This has predominantly occurred through Facebook Marketplace, with the man allegedly obtaining vehicles and high-end electronics through fraudulent means,” Frost said. ....
