Elise Archer,Minister for Building and Construction Guy Barnett,Minister for Primary Industries and Water The Tasmanian Government understands the important role farming families and rural communities play in our State. As part of the Agricultural Workforce Resilience Package announced in September 2020, our Government has extended funding to continue the work of the ground-breaking Safe Farming Tasmania program for a further 12 months to 30 June 2022. Funding has also increased by $150 000 per year in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 financial years to provide for the appointment of a second Senior Safe Farming Work Health and Safety Advisor to help make Tasmanian farms safer, ensure they are ready for a large influx of new seasonal workers, and to ensure that appropriate COVID-safe measures are in place. ....
