Msheireb Properties launches Doha Design District

Doha: Doha Design District, the global destination of creativity in Qatar, has been launched at Msheireb Downtown Doha.
Msheireb Properties, the sustainable real estate developer and a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, has announced the establishment of the design district at a virtual summit which saw the participation of representatives of design districts from around the world.
Doha Design District is set to enhance Msheireb Downtown Doha’s position as a district of art and creativity and serve as a state-of-the-art centre for local designers to flourish. It will also attract local, regional, and global reputable designers to be part of the new district. From a business perspective, the new design district supports Qatar National Vision 2030 by focusing on new industries and supporting economic diversification.

Doha: Msheireb Properties, the sustainable real estate developer and a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, will organise a virtual summit on Wednesday to announce the launch of Doha Design District (DDD) the new design hub at Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD) which will serve as the centre of Qatar s design and innovation.
The virtual summit aims to introduce DDD and its objectives, shed light on the role of international design districts in enriching the cultural and art scene while offering a platform for discussion, mutual expertise between local and international designers.
The opening session will focus on DDD, with speakers from Msheireb Properites and Qatar Museums. Eng. Ali Al Kuwari, Acting CEO of Msheireb Properties, will provide the welcoming speech and Shaikha Al Sulaiti, Manager, Interior Design and David MacAdam, Senior Leasing Consultant, will discuss the inception of DDD and its initiaitives and significance in MDD.
