Khoula Hospital successfully performs seventh nerve surgery SHARE Muscat: To keep pace with the scientific progress, particularly in the microscopic procedures, a unit for the seventh nerve surgeries has been allocated in Khoula Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Shaikhan Al-Hashmi, Senior Consultant Plastic & Head of Plastic Surgery Department. The specialized team in the Hospital has recently cured the seventh nerve of a six-year girl child in two phases. The first phase was performed by transplant the nerve in the infected half of her face, while the second phase by transplant a muscle tissue from the thigh to the infected part of the face by the microscopic procedure. ....
