Law creates Senior Citizens Housing Task Force

On Friday, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero signed into law a bill by Sen. Amanda Shelton, that provide a step toward affordable housing and assisted living options for Guam’s manamko’.
Bill 416, or the Senior Citizens Housing Task Force Act of 2020, is now Public Law 35-140. It establishes a Senior Citizens Housing Task Force that’s charged with assessing senior housing availability and needs. The nine-member task force composed of government officials, community stakeholders and housing experts will be responsible for developing long-term solutions for Guam’s aging population, a news release from Shelton’s office stated.
