Sanjrani launches tourist safari train National February 22, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani inaugurated the tourist safari train here at Golra Railway Station on Sunday. Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati also accompanied the Senate chairman. The inauguration ceremony of the tourist safari train was held at Golra Railway Station. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the tourist train will take tourists from Golra Station to Hassan Abdal, Attock Khurd, Attock City and adjoining areas. The tourist safari train is being seen as an important step taken by the government to promote local tourism. Addressing the function, Senate chairman said that the concept of safari train is good, can be a source of entertainment and tourism and Pakistan Railways is a valuable asset. He said that this train should also be taken to other parts of the country and the efforts of Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Azam Khan Swati were commendable.

Safari train chugs off from Golra Station Weekend service will take tourists to Attock Khurd ISLAMABAD: In an effort to boost tourism the tourism dept with the collaboration of Pakistan Railways has come with a novel and commendable idea. A nineteenth century refurbished steam locomotive chugged out of Golra Railway Station with ministers and senior officials on board for its maiden voyage as a tourist train on Monday. Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani along with Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati inaugurated ‘Safari Tourist Train’ at Golra Railway Station on Sunday to promote tourism. The train will take tourists from Golra Station to Hassan Abdal, Attock Khurd and Attock City and surrounding areas every Friday, Saturday and Sunday charging Rs1,000 for adults, Rs500 for children and Rs3,000 for saloon car.

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunications Tuesday expressed concerns over fake social media accounts operating with the names of political and social personalities. The meeting was chaired by Senator Rubina Khalid. While expressing her grave concerns over the misuse of social media in the country Rehman Malik said that thousands of fake social media accounts are running for different malicious purposes and spreading blasphemous and highly objectionable materials to create uncertainty and chaos among the public. He said that many are operating social media accounts with different names including the names of politicians are also used. He said that we had arranged hardware for Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) that such objectionable and hatred materials could be removed and the accounts could be blocked immediately however about the fate of hardware PTA can tell either it is operating or still under process.
