2023 presidency: 'Power not given on a platter of gold' - Zwingina tells South-East

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, membership registration and revalidation committee for Enugu State, Senator Jonathan Zwingina has told the people of South-East to show seriousness in their desire to produce President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023.
He spoke in Enugu on Friday when a former Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Chief Clement Okwor defected to the APC.
DAILY POST reports that Okwor, who is also a former Head of Service and former Commissioner for Education at different times in the State left his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, officially yesterday, Friday.
He was received at his polling unit, Akpoga Town Hall, Mbulujodo East, Ward 19, Enugu East local government area by chieftains of the APC, including Zwingina, representative of the South-East in the APC National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ken Nnamani, chairman of the APC in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, among others. ....

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Saturday, sacked his Special Adviser on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai.
Yakasai was sacked over his continued comments and utterances which are deemed contrary to the stand of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, which he is serving.
Recall that Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, father to Salihu Tanko Yakasai had claimed that his son was arrested for calling for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
Following the news of the abduction of the students of the Government Girls’ Secondary School in Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Thursday, Salihu had questioned the APC government’s effort to protect its citizens, thereby calling for the resignation of the President. ....

APC membership registration: FCC commissioner, Ginika Tor requests more materials

The Commissioner, Federal Character Commission, FCC, representing Enugu State, Hon. Mrs. Ginika Tor has asked her party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, to send more registration materials to her Amoli ward in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
She made the request on Sunday after she revalidated her membership of the party in the presence of party officials, including the chairman of the APC in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, the Deputy Chairman of the Membership Registration and Revalidation Panel for Enugu State, Rt.
