CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Majority Whip James E. Clyburn released the a statement in response to the Georgia Senate race results and ahead of the Electoral College vote.
Clyburn said Wednesday that, “The people of Georgia have rejected obstructionism and sent President-elect Biden a Senate that can move beyond partisan gridlock. I congratulate Senator-elect Raphael Warnock and presumed Senator-elect Jon Ossoff. These two men reflect the diversity of America and a New South that is representative of all. I look forward to working with them on behalf of the American people.”
